There are a lot of outposts throughout the game, and they all serve different, useful purposes. Depending on who is found there, they can do anything fromproviding rare resources, weapons, and upgrades to unique quests to complete.
Many outposts won’t be of particular use until the middle or late game. Some sell upgrades that can only be used on bigger ships and attaining one of those early is very difficult, if not impossible.

Poacher’s Cache location in Skull and Bones
For players looking to track down the Poacher’s Cache, firstly head over to the Coast of Africa. More specifically, track down a little island east of Harufu, around halfway up the map.
From there, the outpost should appear as a little marker on the map:
Upon arrival, you’ll see a lot of activity going on, as the Poacher’s Cache features a Pirate Bonfire, a Helm Liaison, a Corrupt Compagnie Officer, and a Ungwana Warrior merchant. The latter sells weapons that pack a real punch. The full list is as follows:
