WithJimmy Kimmel hostingthis year’s awards (yes, again), those who tune-in each year will be waiting eagerly to see theirfavorite moviesof the last few months get their flowers.
But as for the long-running and historical ceremony itself, many might not know where it all goes down. With that in mind, here’s where the Oscars are being held this year.
This year, the Oscars are being held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.
In fact, if you head down the walkway (where the red carpet usually lays), you can see the Best Picture winners across the years engraved onto the columns. They even have spaces reserved for future winners, with enough room to last until 2071!

As for the very first Oscars ceremony (which took place in 1929), you’d have gone to the Roosevelt Hotel if you were up for an award. But you wouldn’t have been there for very long, since the first ceremony only took about 15 minutes!
