What are Creator Made Islands in Fortnite?
Creator-made islands in Fortnite allow players to flex their creative prowess and handcraft experiences for other users, and the process of making and joining islands is relatively simple.
Player creativity has become a focal point inFortnite, with Epic Games providing players tools to create nearly whatever they want. This ideal reached new heights withCreative 2.0,as players created insane playable levels.
While it may not catch every player’s fancy, sometimes quests require players to play a few of these created maps and modes, aka Creator Made Islands: for example, the TMNT Cowabunga event tasked players with this very objective.
Here’s what Creator Made Islands are and how you can play them in Fortnite Chapter 5.
Creator Made Islands refer to any Creative map within the game. These maps have been created in Creative 2.0 and UEFN by Fortnite players, not Epic Games.
You can easily check if the map is or is not a Creative map by looking at the thumbnail. If the level has an Epic Games logo in the top left of the thumbnail then it is not a player-made map, as shown above. Alternatively, if it doesn’t have the Epic Games logo then you can be sure it is a Creator Made Island.
Here are all the maps that are official Epic Games maps and not Creator Made Islands:
You canfind Creator Made Islands in Fortnite’s discovery tab, which is easily accessible from themain Lobby Menu.Just navigate or scroll down, and you can then view and select all the different maps and modes that are playable.
There are various ways you can earn XP from each Creative map. Deathruns usually feature XP Coins throughout the course that you can pick up and collect, while other islands will include XP shops that allow you to earn XP by completing basic tasks.
