Wendy’s are going viral as fans mock their March Madness deal, claiming that it’s simply “damage control.”

If you haven’t heard,Wendy’sannounced that they’d be giving away a brand new deal for customers. To celebrate the NCAA basketball tournament, the chain is offering Dave’s Single burgers for just $1 or Dave’s Double burgers for just $2.Customers can grab this via the Wendy’s app.

However, fans’ reaction to the deal wasn’t quite what we expected, as many people are feeling frustrated that this comes right after the chain announced they would be increasing their prices.

After a Reddit post was made about the March Madness deal, fans were displeased, writing: “Nice try, Wendy’s.”

“Nah they can all go straight to Hell. I don’t care what they offer on their menu for what price, I’ll never eat there again,” another wrote, clearly angry.

“Wendy’s is dead to me ever since they suggested price surging,” one stated dramatically.

Another comment predicted that Wendy’s might be in trouble in the near future, claiming: “Surge pricing at work in reverse, nobody will go there anymore and so they lower the prices temporarily to stimulate demand.”

McDonald’s also went viral in March, as reports indicated that more and more people were ditching their Big Macs for Taco Bell.
