Warzone developer Raven Software has implemented a long-awaited change to Vondel that fixes one of the most common complaints about the divisive Resurgence map.

Warzone Season 2 is here introducing a range of changes to the Call of Duty’s popular battle royale. Most notably, the return of the classicFortune’s Keepmap and the addition of a competitiveRanked Playplaylist for players to grind.

It isn’t just the big changes that should have the community excited though with somesmaller updatesbeing introduced that could also make a massive difference. Especially for those who prefer playing Resurgence over the slower-paced battle royale modes.

Vondel’s fog has been reduced

Vondel’s fog has been reduced

As detailed in theWarzone Season 2 patch notes, Vondel has had its fog frequency reduced to improve visibility and make it easier to see.

This will change how oftenVondel’s Dynamic Fog System triggers from 24% to 8% of games played, greatly decreasing how often it will appear on the Resurgence map.

Activision’soriginal justificationfor the Dynamic Fog System was that Vondel’s location makes it subject to “certain inclement conditions,” that could create “new gameplay opportunities,” originally designed with the now dropped DMZ game mode in mind but also impacting Warzone.

Raven Software quicklytweaked this featureback in Warzone 2 Season 4 with them previously reducing the chance of fog appearing on Vondel. It would appear that the initial change was not enough though with a more significant adjustment now following in the new season.
