A Twitch streamer was smacked in the head and shot with BBs by a group of teenagers during a Pokemon Go stream in New York City.

Twitchstreamer andPokemon Goplayer‘BrandonTheGr8’was out catching ‘mons in New York City on Sunday, February 25, when he walked past a large group of masked teenagers huddled together on the sidewalk.

At first, he didn’t think anything of it… until they began pelting him in the thigh with BBs. The streamer turned around, clearly flabbergasted by the situation, and confronted the teens, making sure to warn them that they were “on camera” in full view of “hundreds of people.”

The teens then began following him, threatening to “rob” the streamer, and one evenslapped himon the back of the head.

Brandon gave further clarification about the incidentin a poston the subreddit LiveStreamFails, where he explained that the teens continued to follow him until he was able to enter a subway station and speak to a police officer.

“I decided this wasn’t worth the risk and time to escalate, especially because I was next to a major transportation hub, so I got out of there as fast as I could,” he explained.

“At the end of the day I was not physically harmed, but goes to show there are risks and dangers to IRL streaming if you’re not careful.”

This isn’t the first time a ton of teenagers have caused havoc in public. Recently, the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, Californiaimplemented an age policyafter large groups of teensrepeatedly wreaked havocin the mall with destructive brawls involving up to “one thousand” youngsters.
