Turtle Beach has finally revealed its first-ever racing wheel setup, the VelocityOne Race, and it sports a quite unique design.
Turtle Beach has continued to release unique gaming peripherals over the last few years,including a wireless controllerusing “drift-free” hall effect joysticks.
The company has now revealed the VelocityOne racing wheel and pedal system, their first foray into the sim-racing market. It uses an in-house designed direct drive motor for prime force feedback, load cell brakes, and more.

Companies likeThrustmasterandLogitechhave included a small digital display on their wheels over the last few years, but they’re generally small with very limited use.
Turtle Beach seems to want to change that with its customizable “Race Management Display.” They haven’t shared the exact size of the screen, but it’s much bigger and more customizable than we’ve seen in the past.
The company says that you’ll be able to see full race telemetry, including speed, RPM, lap times, tire wear, and more — assuming that the game supports it.
On top of the screen, Turtle Beach has developed a control panel that ships with the wheel that gives you access quick adjustments and more control over your vehicle in compatible games.
This panel might make the VelocityOne system a hit with American/Euro Truck Simulator fans, as you can use the buttons to drop/pickup trailers and release your air brakes.
The VelocityOne’s load cell pedals do include a clutch, but Turtle Beach has yet to release its own shifter, so you’ll be stuck going with a different brand. You can use the clutch with the paddle shifter in the meantime, however.
