Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce says he will never play for another head coach besides Andy Reid, even after the viral “Super Bowl push.”
Tight end Travis Kelce and head coach Andy Reid have been together for over a decade with the Kansas City Chiefs organization. Together, the duo has three Super Bowl victories and several deep playoff runs on top of it.

However, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. During Super Bowl LVIII, Kelce let his frustrations boil over in the first half. He charged to the sideline and inadvertently made contact with Reid, visibly taking his coach by surprise.
In this week’s episode ofNew Heights, a podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, the two detailed this incident, with the eldest sibling telling his little brother he “crossed a line”.

“I can’t get that fired up to the point where I’m bumping coach, and it’s getting him off balance,” Travis said. “I’m a passionate guy. I love Coach Reid; Coach Reid knows how much I love to play for him.”
Later in the podcast, Kelce made it clear that his NFL future is intrinsically linked to Reid. “I’m not playing for anybody else but Big Red. If he calls it quits this year, then I am out with him.”
Kelce has two years remaining on his current deal. He would have left over $30 million on the table by retiring this off-season, but he also announced his return, claiming Kansas City is on the hunt for a three-peat.
Even after some controversy in front of a worldwide audience, it’s clear that Kelce and Reid’s relationship is still as strong as ever. Luckily for Chiefs Kingdom, neither one is quite ready to call time on their careers.
