As the Game of Thrones TV universe expands, more stars get added to the roster – but one actor from the original series refuses to watch House of the Dragon for a fair reason.
Kit Harington, who played everyone’s favorite bastard Jon Snow inGame of Thrones, has nothing to do with the prequel series,House of the Dragon. Aside from being a distant relative in theTargaryenbloodline, House of the Dragon actually has surprisingly few connections to the first HBO show.
Still, with the two shows being connected byGeorge R.R. Martin’s books, one would expect the cast members to be fans of the other. But Harington has no interest in watching the spinoff, and it’s easy to understand why.
“I just can’t watch it,” Harington said [via Associated Press]. “I think for me it’s just I’ve spent too long there. And I wish them all the best, and I hope, I hear it’s wonderful and going really well. But I don’t think I’ll ever watch that show, and I don’t think I’ll watch Game of Thrones again for a few years.”
He’s not the only GoT star to avoid the prequel series. Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, also hasn’ttuned into House of the Dragon.
