The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is already being slammed by fans for not delivering the reunion Rick & Michonne “deserve.”

At its height,The Walking Deadwas the biggest show on TV. With a massive fanbase, an impressive ensemble cast of actors, and compelling stories to boot, the zombie series had fans at the edge of their seats on a weekly basis.

However, the series lost many loyal fans in the later parts of the show, with the loss of actors such as Andrew Lincoln and more hitting hard with those who fell in love with Rick Grimes and company.

After years of distance from the franchise, fans were eager to see Rick & Michonne return for the new spinoff,The Ones Who Live. This new limited series set to finally reunite the two after Rick’s seeming demise way back in season 9 of the flagship show.

And while the series has been met with largely positive reviews from critics, fans are disappointed by the reunion of the two main characters from the series.

In arecent Reddit thread, Walking Dead fans began sharing their thoughts on the new show and the way in which it brings back the two main characters.

One user wrote, “They messed up the endgame of this show so badly. The book had a phenomenal ending. All they had to do was not kill Carl off and they’d end with a roar, rather than this pathetic whimper that it’s become.”

Another added, “I watched TWD through completion and I have zero interest in watching this. I gave up on FTWD after S4. The whole universe is laughably bad now.”
