Star Wars Outlaws was the first open-world Star Wars game, starring scoundrel Kay Vess andset between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. While we praised the scale and design of the planets in ourreview, Ubisoft have admitted that sales didn’t quite meet expectations.

Star Wars Outlaws Wild Card release date & story

This story expansion tasks Kay with infiltrating a Sabacc tournament. An encounter withLando Calrissianduring the high-stakes competition indicates something more complex than card games are being run behind the scenes.

Little else is known about where this extra slice of the story will take Kay, but the devs have confirmed it’s set to be a fairly sizable expansion that’s packed full of content.

Alongside the release of Wild Card, players can also expect two cosmetic bundles and a story pack. With the bundles – Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin – users will receive cosmetics for Kay, Nix, the speeder, and the Trailblazer ship.

This story pack will put the Trailblazer’s reputation to the test, as Kay meets veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka ofThe Clone Warsfame. Apparently, Ohnaka has an axe to grind with a gang of ruthless pirates.

While the Season Pass will only be available for Gold/Ultimate Edition pre-orders or Ubisoft+ Premium members, both story packs will go on sale separately.
