A self-proclaimed personal shopper on TikTok has been accused of selling fake Stanley Cups as real to her viewers during live streams on the platform.

With how viral the cups have gone across social media, companies have taken tocreating replica versionswith a cheaper price tag that many are calling ‘dupes.’

Self-proclaimedTikTokpersonal shopper StephieJo1977 has been selling these cups to livestream viewers but some believe that she hasn’t been honest about what’s being sold.

TikToker accused of selling fake Stanley cups as real

In a post on theTikTok Gossip subreddit, user sweet208 shared what happened during and immediately after the creator’s livestream.

“Did anyone else see @stephiejo1977 live earlier? She was live doing “personal shopping” for VERRRYYY obviously FAKE Stanley Cups at a store she refused to name. (Assuming it was a discount store),” they said.

“After around 50 orders, she got confronted by the store manager who said ‘You know these are not real Stanley’s right?’, she replied ‘You said they are!’ And the manager replied ‘no, these are dupes as we stated in our advertisement. These are made by a 3rd party.’

The TikToker allegedly blocked a ton of people and turned off her comments, and the Reddit user says the woman is refusing to give refunds to people who purchased the cups under the assumption that they were real.

A few others commented on the post as well, sharing that they saw the livestream and also figured that they were fake cups.

“I saw that live and immediately knew they were fakes. No way the target exclusive Valentine Stanley would be at a discount store less than 30 days after being released. She better start giving out refunds bc that’s theft,” one user replied.

Another commented: “Plus all those cups were bought out lol from Target. Limited editions.”

There’s no way of telling whether or not the cups were real now that the TikTok livestream is over, however. Should StephieJo1977 respond to the accusations, we’ll keep you updated.
