Joemyheck put the cup on top of a brick and angled his giant magnifying glass so that the sun’s rays focused on a spot beside the famous Stanley logo.

It immediately started to burn, and after leaving it under the light for quite some time the TikToker was left surprised with the results.

“Even though the solar death ray melted through the outer layer of the cup, the inner steel layer put up quite a bit of resistance,” he said. “It actually failed to burn a hole clean through the wall of the cup.”

Users quickly took to the comments to share their thoughts on the now-viral video, with many focused on the fact that the TikToker owns a “solar death ray.”

“Dude I want a solar death ray I would have so much fun,” one user replied.

Another commented: “Damn. The amount of free marketing [Stanley] gets from this app is wild.”
