EA has since confirmed these details in ablog post, corroborating the July 25 release date for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Preorders for the expansion have already gone live. Those who purchase Lovestruck between June 27 and September 5 will receive the following Heartbreak Happens bonuses – Cry Me a River Eyeliner, Herbert Hearth Plushie, and the Basic Breakup Double Bed.
The Cupid’s Corner app marks the biggest draw for Lovestruck, offering an in-game system wherein users can create dating profiles for their Sims. Prospective love interests will appear in the Matches tab, so Sims can save their faves, establish contacts, and spark conversation.
From there, date-planning takes center stage through custom “Ask to Create a Date” features. Players will get to customize dates by selecting a type, venue, activities, and goals. Inviting more Sims along will constitute another option.
Dates will let Sims deepen their connection by sharing food, cuddling, star gazing, or playing games. Brand-new interactions should also spice things up, with Sims 4’s Lovestruck promising a “new kiss, a sultry dance, and three new WooHoo spots.”

Over time, the Sims will develop Romance Dynamics – Wholesome, Steamy, Strained, and Unpredictable – that reflect their fledgling union.
These dynamics will be determined by attraction and compatibility based on each Sims’ Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs, “behavior elements that either raise or lower a Sim’s attraction to another Sim.”
Notably, The Sims 4 Lovestruck will also introduce a new role called Romance Consultant. In this part, Sims can make a career out of finding “new ways to promote love.”
The expansion will additionally add Ciudad Enamorada, a city featuring three neighborhoods and a Singles Hangout spot.
