The FanDuel Kick of Destiny returned for a second straight Super Bowl featuring former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski.

For 11 seasons, Gronkowski starred for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning four Super Bowl titles in the process. Gronkowski set several records for the tight end position along the way, including most touchdowns in a single season.

He’s best known for being the go-to target forfuture Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. The duo had a rare chemistry, contributing to the long track record of success together.

Since retirement, Gronk has been a fixture onNFLtalk shows, utilizing his unique personality to bring energy to any broadcast. His trademark laugh accompanies the four-time All-Pro anywhere he goes.

At Super Bowl LVII, Gronkowski branched out of his comfort zone even more during FanDuel’s Kick of Destiny. While the long-time veteran has played over 100 games in his career, none were as the team’s kicker.

Alas, the field goal attempted went just left of the uprights at the last moment, leaving Gronk hunched over in agony. He vowed to return and exercise his demons, promising to train harder than ever.

Moments before the kickoff of Super Bowl LVIII, the five-time Pro Bowler gave it another shot. Unfortunately, Gronkowski shanked the field goalwide right this time.

Fans who thought Gronkowski would convert the kick head home in defeat, while all his doubters were elated to see another miss from the former NFL superstar.

Kickers often catch flack from fans when they miss kicks in crucial moments. Some say kicking is amongst the easiest jobs in the NFL, but Gronkowski is proving how difficult it actually is. He’ll give it another shot at next year’s Super Bowl.
