At this point, the Pokemon franchise is no stranger to some wild collaborations. Those pesky Pocket Monsters have already teamed up with some established brands and institutions such as the Van Gogh Museum, Santa Cruz Skateboards, fashion company Fendi, and even the bespoke jewelry brand Tiffany & Co.
Well, it seems things are heating up in the Pokemon world, as the latest collaboration is with established kitchenware company Le Creuset. The companies have unveiled a specialPokemon x Le Creuset lineincluding, pots, cups, and even a Pikachu-themed kettle.
The announcement was shared by multiple outlets including Pokeshopper.net, and reactions to the crossover have been overwhelmingly positive from eager Pokemon fans. Underneathone post, comments call the release “beautiful” while another person added, “oh my god i need them all.”
Another comment excitedly adds, “screaming crying throwing up I need this” before someone else commented, “I NEED THAT KETTLE.” However, any people in the US hoping to get their hands on these exclusive items may be in for a bit of a shock.
While some of the more unique Pokemon collaborations occasionally make their way to Western shores, Japan-exclusive items often remain exactly that, leaving only select import shops such asMeccha Japanthe only option for any hopeful Pokemon fans.
After a post from Pokemon Restocks clarified that the set is only planned for Japan, Pokemon fans added some deflated comments, seemingly let down by the news. “Japan gets all the cool stuff, damn” said one comment, while a comment underneath aseparate postsaid, “Will this make its way to the states? I need those mugs.”
