Some inventive Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trainers created a fun, multiplayer minigame out of the game’s Synchro Machine mechanic involving some speedy Water-types.
Players who played through Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC may rememberthe Synchro Machine mechanic, which allowed trainers to take control of their Pokemon to explore the overworld.
Despite many trainersfinding the mechanic fairly forgettableas a whole, some creative fans decided to try and find new ways to use it.
Now, some trainers have created a multiplayer minigame that uses the Synchro Machine mechanic to race Water-type Pokemon around theBlueberry Academy Terarium’s Coastal Biome.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet fans create Synchro Machine minigame
The minigame came from the Poke_Times Japanese X account, which shared apostwith a video attached.
In the clip, three trainers used the Synchro Machine mechanic to take control of different Water-type Pokemon to race around the Coastal Biome.
The video featured trainers controlling Buizel, Finizen, and Blastoise. The three Pokemon featureddifferent swimming styles and animations, and they raced through a predetermined course in the Coastal Biome.
While many Pokemon fans online felt that the Synchro Machine feature was underbaked, there’s actually quite a bit of depth to the mechanic.

Specifically, every Pokemon has a different animation for walking, flying, or swimming, depending on their build and Type.
As such, this specific swimming minigame could have plenty of potential. Trainers could make a predetermined racecourse somewhere in the open world and pick a random Water-type from their Box to race.
Depending on their swimming animations and skill the outcome of the race could be quite unexpected.
This isn’t the firstunofficial minigamethat Pokemon Scarlet & Violet trainers have created, but it’s certainly one of the most creative.
