Pokemon Go trainers have started to compare the “darkest” PokeStop locations they’ve stumbled across in the wild.
One of the most common things Pokemon Go fans stumble across whileplaying outside is PokeStops, which are in-game signposts that provide helpful features.
Now, Pokemon Go community members have started sharing some of the “darkest” PokeStops they’ve stumbled across in the wild.

Aposton the Pokemon Gosubredditasked the community a simple question: “What’s the darkest PokéStop/gift you’ve seen?”
The OP provided their own submission which featured a gift with the PokeStop simply called “Electric Chair” from Mansfield, Ohio. The gift came with a sticker that featured Pikachu giving a thumbs-up.
This sparked a discussion among fans who shared similarly morbid PokeStops they’ve stumbled across in the wild.
Many players praised the gallows humor of the trainer who sent the gift. “And a nice sticker to go with. I really like this gift,” said one Reddit user, while another said, “Pikachu is the executioner.”
Another player said, “We got one just labeled ‘urban decay’ and it’s nothing but a picture of graffiti and trash.”
A different fan said, “I get one regularly from England called ‘Bombed-Out Church.'”
While many of these morbid PokeStops are based around actual landmarks or memorials with plenty of real-world history behind them, others are likely just dark fan submissions that slipped through the cracks.
