Pokemon Go fans insist Catch Cup needs to go
Appearingin a Reddit post, Pokemon Go playerRecentIntroduction32shared their frustrations with the other players – and received a mixed response in return.
RecentIntroduction32 noted how they felt that the only point of theCatch Cupwas “to waste Stardust” and queried why they should “waste it building Pokemon that I’ve already built, or will never use again”, before stating that a lot of people would likely skip this week.
A handful of Pokemon Go players in the thread agreed, with one person noting that “if I thought I could run a viable team I might try it, but I hate it.”
However, some players disagreed with the sentiment, arguing that it leveled the playing field for fans who hadn’t been in the game that long. Also, one person pointed out that they have almost 6 million Stardust and that they “don’t mind spending half a million to advance.”
The Catch Cup may be divisive among the community, but one of the best things about it is that it allows people to experiment with new mons, even if it does use up a lot of resources.
