Hatching eggs inPokemon Gocan be a lot of fun, but it can also be frustrating at times. Recently, Pokemon Go fans took to social media to call for changes to the 7km eggs.
Getting an egg in Pokemon Go can be very exciting. Some eggs contain super rarePokemonand a handful might even contain Shinies, so it’s a good idea to hatch them when you can.
In some cases, though, eggs can be more of a frustration than a fun task to complete. One Pokemon Go player took tor/pokemongolately to share their frustrations with 7km gifted eggs, kickstarting a debate on 7km eggs in general and how the game should change the egg system.
Pokemon Go fans frustrated with gifted 7km eggs
Coming up originallyin a Reddit post, Pokemon Go player sw4ffles shared their frustration with the 7km gift eggs in the game, asking for the ability to delete them and saying “I really don’t want any more Meowths” as well.
After this, sw4ffles noted how they weren’t able to spin PokeStops for eggs anymore as their inventory was always full up from opening in-game gifts.
Some users in the Subreddit agreed with the poster’s frustrations, with one person saying “I gave up on egg hatching because it’s boring and underwhelming, always” and another agreeing that they would love to be able to toss unwanted eggs.
Others felt that the issue wasn’t with gifted eggs, but with the egg system itself. A handful of Pokemon Go players encouraged sw4ffle to only open gifts after hitting up a PokeStop, with one saying “After an egg hatches don’t open your gifts until you get to a stop… I do it all the time.”
There were a few creative ideas for quality of life improvements in the thread, with one player pointing out that it would be great if regional mons could be included in long-distance gifted eggs. This would make it much easier to obtain tricky, out-of-reach Pokemon.
