A random Pokemon fact has players shouting out the “obscure” monsters that mainline Switch games have yet to feature.
Nintendo Switch owners can currently pick up about a dozen differentPokemon-branded experiences, many of which are mainline titles.
The hybrid system, thus, plays host to a Pokedex worth of ‘mon that players can capture and collect across multiple games. However, numerous creatures have yet to make their Nintendo Switch debut.
Pokemon fans recently reckoned with as much when discussing an interesting fact about the property. Now many are hoping it won’t be long before the likes of Panpour make an appearance on the current-gen Nintendo platform.
Pokemon fans want these ‘mon in mainline Nintendo Switch games
In an “Obscure Pokemon Fact” post on thePokemon subreddit, one user shared a picture depicting the only creatures who’ve not yet set foot in themainline Switch installments.
The ‘mon in question includes all of the following, according to the Redditor: Elemental Monkeys, the Patrat line, and Furfrou.
Based on the replies, the continued absence of Elemental Monkeys and Furfrou seems to especially baffle Pokemon faithful.
One user responded, “It’s sad when your favorite Pokemon is an elemental monkey…”
Meanwhile, another fan said of Furfrou’s remaining MIA, “I actually love furfrou… and always found it saddening to never see its existence again. Luckily I snagged shiny one back in XY days.”
Yet, other fans don’t think so highly of these underused creatures. Reads one such comment, “Thanks, continue to keep Patrat away from any games.”
Another person chimed in elsewhere, “elemental monkeys lost all relevance after the first gym battle.”
Whether or not these oft-forgotten Pokemon will get their chance to shine on Switch presently remains to be seen.
