Palworld’s creators are already locked in on its next big project, a roguelite titled Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse.
After years of hype,Palworldlaunched in early access and took the gaming scene by storm. Since its January 19 arrival, it’s sold over8,000,000 copiesand reached an absurd player count of over2,000,000, surpassingCounter-Strike and even Cyberpunk 2077.
Safe to say, Palworld has opened the eyes of the gaming industry, as not every game has to be a complex work of art to capture the attention of many. The developer has shared aroadmapof what’s to come, with plenty of fixes and additions that’ll make players happy.
The publisher aims to keep the hits rolling, with a surprise debut of its upcoming roguelite, Never Grave: The Witch and the Curse.
Pocketpair debuts Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse
Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse looks to build on the popular Metroidvania formula with roguelite elements. Boasting a similar art style to Hollow Knight, players assume the role of a witch on a quest for revenge.
However,Never Graveseparates itself from fellow Metroidvanias with base building, something Palworld has a large amount of. There’s also coop, as shown in the trailer, where three other players join and control fallen foes, help with village rebuilding, and more.
Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse clearly showcases its Palworld influences, and with a release somewhat imminent, it’ll be interesting to see if magic strikes twice for Pocketpair.
