Overwatch 2 pro Kai ‘Kai’ Collins is pleading for help after being banned when the game detected cheats.
Bans in Overwatch 2 have proven to be quite controversial in recent months, with players beingbanned for typing “GG,”andnearly losing college scholarshipsfor writing out their teammates’ names.
Even the game’s top pros aren’t exempt, withProper getting hit with a banearlier this year with no explanation from the developers.
Now, British DPS star Kai is the latest to be hit with a permaban after Overwatch 2 detected he was using cheats – something the former OWL star denies.

In a post on X, Kai uploaded screenshots showing that Blizzard had closed his account after a game was canceled because the system detected he was using cheats.
“Banned mid game for detected cheats. Tragic system,” the Widowmaker player blasted.
The ban comes amid major changes inOverwatch 2 season 9that completely revamped the size of projectiles, making shots even easier to hit. To make matters worse, Kai said his conversation with the devs didn’t help his case.

“Anticheat team declined to overturn it,” herevealed. “My account is just gone for no reason. It’s not even a new account either, I’ve had it since early OW1.”
Players onRedditare blaming the new patch for the ban while others shared their own experiences with the system issuing incorrect suspensions.
“With the new patch dude is hitting too many wido shots,” one said.
“The report system is 100% automated and not vetted at all. It’s a joke,” another slammed.
Considering the fuss about Kai’s ban, Blizzard will likely take manual action, but this is just the latest in a long line of bans that aregaining infamyin the OW2 community.
