Overwatch 2 players have discovered a neat Echo trick that allows them to get achievements for other heroes without even playing them.

Overwatch 2is a game chock full of content. From the PvE campaign to the grind of ranked competitive play, all the way to the limited-time game modes and events Blizzard puts out. Players can easily spend hours on end within the world of Blizzard’s hero shooter.

The devs reward players who put the time into their game by granting them various rewards, be it Golden orJade weapon skinsfor ranked, cosmetics in the battle pass, or even cute pixel sprays for collecting achievements.

Some of these achievements are notoriously difficult to get, requiring an immense amount of time, dedication, skill, and sometimes luck. This includes achievements like The Floor is Lava, which requires Lucio to boop 3 enemies off the map, all without dying once. Fortunately, it seems that Overwatch 2 players have discovered a neat trick with Echo that may help alleviate this difficulty.

Overwatch 2 players have discovered that you can actually get achievements for other heroes while playingEcho. For those unaware, Echo’s ultimate Duplicate allows her to transform into an opposing hero, with a massively ramped-up ultimate charge.

While in this form, Echo plays exactly the same as the hero they’ve selected, with abilities, weapons, and all. This also means that they’re eligible to complete other heroes’ achievements, which is exactly what the Reddit user did.

This neat easter egg is completely intended too, as pointed out by a commenter.

“It’s intended, been in the game since Echo was launched. You can unlock trophies/achievements when you use Copy as Echo as well as the cute/pixel sprays,” theyexplained.

This strategy can be particularly effective when trying to grab Cute sprays, which generally are tied to the hero’s ultimate.
