A new Reaper skin has left some Overwatch 2 players desperate to romance him. Here’s what they had to say about it.

Reaper has always been known to be the “edgy” character in theOverwatchroster. His kit, cosmetics, lore, and even voice lines combined shapes that image in a lot of players’ minds.

So far, his cosmetics usually stay within his emo-like aesthetics, with most of them generally having a dark color palette and his mask on. Though the Soldier: 24 and Blackwatch Reyes are exceptions since these skins show his face unmasked.

So, when a new maskless Reaper skin was revealed, the community was thrilled as this is like a once-in-a-blue-moon occasion. Last year, we had theCupid Hanzo skinarriving in the shop, but it looks like Valentine’s Day Reaper is about to cook this year.

In contrast to the vibrant Cupid Hanzo skin, Reaper’s Valentine’s Day skin leans more toward a demon-like aesthetic thanks to the red hoodie with devil wings. Not to mention, the image of thorns surrounding a heart made out of skulls on his shirt elevates this image even more.

Showcasing the skin’s imagein a thread, one player couldn’t help but wonder if he was going to join Loverwatch. “Maybe we’ll get a new route where we have to convince an angsty emo demon love is real lmao,” they said.

“Can I romance him?” one user asked. For the uninitiated,Loverwatch is a limited-time dating simavailable during last year’s Valentine’s. Players could romance andgo out on a date with Mercy, Genji, and Hanzoand earn limited-time rewards in this mode.

“He’s so beautiful,” another chimed in. This seems to represent many of the comments, with other players praising the skin as a “COMMON REAPER W,” “He’s so HOT tho,” and “I can fix him.”

Another user even went as far as saying, “He could spit on me and I’ll say thank you.”

Surprisingly, though this skin seems to be loved by many players, a player pointed out that it reminded them of human Shrek, to which a person replied, “Well now I can’t unsee it.”
