The atomic bomb is finally heading to the small(er) screen, with Oppenheimer finally getting its streaming release date.
Starring the likes ofCillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Florence Pugh, Oppenheimer follows the aforementioned creator and his team of scientists who spent years developing and designing the atomic bomb. Their work came to fruition on July 16, 1945, as they witnessed the world’s first nuclear explosion.
Oppenheimer finally gets streaming release date
It comes as no surprise that the demand for Oppenheimer to be released on streaming platforms is high, given just how successful the movie wasat the global box office– not to mention contributing to cinematic history throughBarbenheimer.
The film currently has a certified fresh score of 93% onRotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 91%.
In ourfive-star review, we wrote: “Oppenheimer begins with a quote about Prometheus stealing from the gods, then being punished for all eternity. Which mirrors the tale being told here. But in spite of the fact that this is less biopic, and more horror movie, Oppenheimer nevertheless finds compassion in Robert’s story. Resulting in a towering achievement that’s up there with Nolan’s very best, and a film of both great importance, and true humanity.”

Oppenheimer won’t be the only Christopher Nolan movie to get the Peacock treatment, with Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, Inception, and Memento all becoming available from February 1.
