Kick streamer NICKMERCS is finally returning to Warzone nearly nine months after his CoD skin was pulled following a viral rant about Pride months in elementary schools.

Call of Duty and NICKMERCS have had a love-hate relationship that seemingly ended last year when the FaZe starsparked controversy online.

The backlash was swift. Despite Nick saying that he didn’t mean to upset anyone, Call of Dutyremoved his operator skinfrom the shop, promoting NICKMERCS to quit Warzone, but that hiatus appears to be coming to an end.

This decision comes even as the streamer has continued to feud with Activision for pulling his skin. Notably, he claimed he likelywouldn’t even stream MW3over the controversy and evencalled the devs “rats”for releasing a skin similar to his.

However, Nick’s supporters are on board with the return to Warzone. Fellow streamer TimTheTatman, whoasked for his Operator to be removedin solidarity with Nick, posted a video of him teaming with his friend, commenting “we’re so back.”

FaZe Swagg was excited too, posting a gif of WWE’s Undertaker emerging from out of a coffin.

It’s unclear what exactly caused Nick to change his mind on CoD, but he wouldn’t be the first one to go back on his word. Notably,Dr Disrespect vowed to stop playing Warzoneuntil NICKMERCS got his skin back and an apology from Activision, but has since played the battle royale on stream.

Expect to learn more about why NICKMERCS is back to playing Warzone tomorrow when his stream kicks off.
