Popular Warzone streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has been banned on Twitch in the early hours of Friday, June 28, later confirming the reason for his ban was for breaching the platforms hateful conduct guidelines.

NICKMERCS has had a long and successful career on Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch, and this marks the first time he’s been banned on the platform.

On June 27,Nick went liveplaying the Elden Ring DLC, taking on Messmer the Impaler much like many other top Twitch streamers.

Hours later, Nick spoke out on X/Twitter, to reveal the reason for the ban.

“Banned for using the word “Tr**y” on Twitch. Apparently that’s a derogatory term. That’s on me. Next time I’ll use mental health disorder.”

It’s not clear how long the ban will last, although hateful conduct breaches are very often punished with 30-day suspensions by default.

NICKMERCS also streams frequently on Kick, so for the time being fans will be able to view his streams there.

This comes just days after Nick’s friend and top YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect had the reason for his Twitch ban revealed almost four years after the fact.

Nick has openly condemned Dr Disrespectin the time since that news broke, saying that he “cannot support” his actions and distancing himself from the streamer.

He isstill partnered with Kick, though, and his account remains up on that platform, so it’s possible there could be some streams exclusively on there for the foreseeable future.
