Netflix drops bad news for Stranger Things & Virgin River fans
According to a new report fromDeadline, the two hit shows, alongside other titles including Wednesday, One Piece, Sweet Magnolias, and Ginny & Georgia won’t air any new episodes in the next 12 months.
Shows such as One Piece have yet to start filming for their next season at all, while others including Stranger Things Season 5 have only just started the process. Virgin River Season 6 is also set to begin filming in the next few weeks.
However, Netflix users have plenty to look forward to, including new installments of Squid Game, Bridgerton, The Night Agent, Cobra Kai, Emily In Paris, and The Diplomat.
In the meantime, the streaming platform has just launched itsannual previewfor the year ahead – and fans are already hyped for what’s to come.
“Squid Game’s 10-second clip was enough to tell me the second season is gonna be majestic too,” one YouTube commenter posted, with another adding, “Squid games season two better blow everyone’s minds! I hope the first season is not remade as a US version. It’s perfect as a Korean series. However, if they did a spinoff of a US version and then combined both later as a series finale, that would be dope!”
