My Hero Academia: You’re Next, the highly-anticipated movie, has finally revealed its release date in a new trailer unveiling the characters and villain.

This upcoming movie is based on an original story by Mangaka Kohei Horikoshi, who will also design the characters and oversee the overall production. According to him, the movie’s events will follow the chronology of the My Hero Academia anime.

According to theofficial websiteof My Hero Academia: You’re Next movie, the synopsis reads: “In a world where humans with supernatural powers, ‘quirks,’ have become commonplace, All Might, the former No. 1 hero known as the ‘symbol of peace,’ uttered this message immediately after he won a deadly battle with the Evil Emperor.

“Even after All Might retired from his position as No. 1 hero, his heroic will was passed on to Izuku and the rest of Yuei High School’s hero class. An all-out war between heroes and villains broke out in the spring of Izuku’s second year as a hero. Izuku confronts Shigara Kosuke, who has gained terrifying power, and they clash violently.

“Both the hero and the enemy suffered heavy damage, and the battle temporarily ended with the retreat of the dead tree, but the time for a decisive battle where they would face each other again was rapidly approaching.

“In a society devastated by the effects of all-out war, a mysterious giant fortress suddenly appears and swallows towns and people one after another. Then, a man who resembles a ‘symbol of peace’ stands in front of Izuku and his friends…”
