In aReddit threadposted on January 13, one MW3 fan kicked off a discussion as they called for reticle customization to make its return to the franchise. “Bring back reticle customization. I really wish they’d bring this back,” the player wrote. “I don’t understand why it was removed to begin with.”

They added: “I feel like the better reticle sights have the worst frame of view or visual cluster when ADSing. Wish they’d bring it back.”

In replies to the post, it’s clear that most of the community would love to see the customization option return. “Yes please!” one wrote. “I’ve been thinking about this all week! I miss that,” said another.

Although many want to see it return just for the fun it brings to the game, according to one fan it actually helps with accessibility for color-blind players.

“As a color-blind person I cherish this feature,” they said. “Red Green being the most common type of color blind, red and green optics don’t exactly track well with this disability. I wish they would always include this feature for accessibility reasons and not solely customizations.

“And.. No the color blind options in game don’t help. They affect world stuff and hud, not the sights,” the player explained.

While thedevs have recently taken on feedbackfrom players, we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not they take the suggestion on board.
