MW3 players are getting fed up with the lighting on one of the game’s most well-known map: Shipment.
Shipment first became a part of the Call of Duty series way back in 2007’s Call of Duty 4, and has made anappearance in a majorityof the franchise ever since.
Despite its small size, the map has gone through a handful ofchanges and tweaksthat are meant as updates for each new entry it appears in.
This newest version for MW3, though, is not the community’s favorite, mainly due to the lighting causing a lot of shadows.
MW3 players are mad about the lighting of this year’s Shipment
The communitytook to the game’s subredditto voice their concerns in a post titled: “Please put the fricking SUN over Shipment.”
The body of the post expanded on this sentiment, saying, “But whenever I try to level up weapons on Shipment I just can’t. What a joke, so many dark corners where dark skins go unnoticed until too late. Just put some light lmao.”
Much of the comments were in agreement with this player, with a lot of them feeling that the shadows on the MW3 map cause a lot of visibility issues.
“The map is so stupidly dark that I have to turn the brightness up on my monitor, making everything super washed out.”
Others shared in this sentiment as well: “Usually enjoy shipment, but with the darkness and the horrific spawns, I just can’t get into it this time ’round.”
Many users pointed to other versions of the map from previous games that they felt had it right, though not everyone could agree on one specific map.
Shipment has been around long enough that it is beloved by a good portion of the community, and whenever a new version of that something beloved is created, there aresure to be some complaints.
