Miami Heat fans are convinced a trade for Kyle Lowry is imminent after he took the franchise out of his Instagram bio and unfollowed team-mate Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Lowry, 37, also unfollowed Heat team-mates Duncan Robinson, Haywood Highsmith, Nikola Jovic, and Orlando Robinson on the social media platform, further intensifying trade talk.

And while it isn’t definitively clear why he has unfollowed a host of team-mates, it now looks likely he will leave South Florida before the February 8 trade deadline.

Lowry had hoped dropping to the bench in Saturday’s defeat to the Atlanta Hawks was a one time thing. He said: “[Coach Erik Spoelstra] wanted to look at something different.

“He wanted to have me come off the bench. Hopefully, it was only a one-game thing for me and I get back in the starting line-up.”

But after he was benched again in Sunday’s loss to the Orlando Magic, coupled with his recent social media activity, it looks like his time could be up in Miami.

The likes of Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray and Charlotte’s Terry Rozier have been linked as possible trade options for Miami but it remains to be seen whether they can find a lucrative package including Lowry to attract another star to South Beach.
