Aposton the SpidermanPS4subredditgave a clear before and after image of the Raimi suit following the recent update.

“I’m giving a round of applause for Insomniac,” the OP said. “I didn’t think they would make any changes, but they did and my heart is so happy – much more accurate now along with fixing the web lighting issues!!! I can’t wait to use it.”

The screenshot showed that the new Webbed suit’s colors appear to be slightly more muted and the raised webbed texture on the red portion of the suit appears softer and flatter.

Many fans in the comments shared the OP’s praise for the updated design.

“I figured they’d just restore it to the first game’s quality. They went above that. Hopefully, they match the webbing on the black suit next,” said one fan.

Others didn’t find much of an issue with the original design but noted the updated version was more appealing.

“Personally I didn’t have an issue with the original suit but the new suit looks so much better,” one player said.

The Webbed Suit textures were the only ones listed as being updated in the patch notes, so it’s unclear if anymore of Spider-Man’s suitswere changed through the patch. Regardless, it seems many fans are pleased that Insomniac took the time to rework one of Spider-Man’s most iconic looks.
