When it comes to the Sony Spider-Verse world, many of their live-action adaptations have failed to impress fans.
While of course the likes of Spider-Man: No Way Home was a massive success for Sony and Disney both, the projects that have been developed without the assistance of the MCU have struggled to perform.
The first two Venom films were hit with mixed reviews from fans and critics while Morbius has become one of the mostmemed films of all time. Currently sitting at15% on Rotten Tomatoes.And now that it has officially been released, Madame Web is shaping up to have a similar fate to Morbius. Reviews for the new film are less than positive, with Madame Web also sitting at17% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Now, it has been revealed that Dakota Johnson, the star of Madame Web, signed on to the project that then underwent “drastic changes” after she had already committed to the film.
In a new interview withThe Wrap, the Madame Web star admitted that, “there were drastic changes and I can’t even tell you what they were.”
As well as this, the actor revealed that she struggled working on a film that was largely created using CGI, an experience she has never had before in her career.

“That to me was absolutely psychotic. I was like, ‘I don’t know if this is going to be good at all! I hope that I did an okay job!’ But I trusted [Clarkson]. She works so hard, and she has not taken her eyes off this movie since we started.”
