Madame Web star Dakota Johnson claims she would “definitely” return for a sequel if they want her to “come back.”

While Sony may have cut a deal with Disney to allowSpider-Manto appear in the MCU, many secondary characters have remained completely disconnected and instead, are forming a separate Spider-Verse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home was a massive success for Sony and Disney both, however, the projects that have been developed without the assistance of the MCU have largely struggled to perform.

Madame Web is the latest Sony Spider-Verse film to release, bringing the titular character, best known from her role in the Spider-Man comics, into the world of live-action for the first time ever.

As well as this, the film also introduces Spider-Woman and more into the Sony Spider-Verse. The likes of Sydney Sweeny and more also starred alongside Johnson.

While the movie has only been out for a short while, it is already being slammed byfans and critics alike.

With acritical score of 16% on Rotten Tomatoesand memes already circulating around the internet, the future of Madame Web looks less than promising.

Despite the early negative response, the film’s star, Dakota Johnson, has admitted she’d love to come to play the titular character again if she gets the chance.

During an interview withGamesRadar, Johnson was asked if she’d be interested in returning to the role if she was given the chance. The star was quick to reply, revealing, “If they want me to come back then I definitely will,” Johnson began. “I have no idea what’s in store.”
