The reviews are out for Madame Web, and they aren’t good, resulting in the movie launching with a terrible Rotten Tomatoes score.

It’s taken more than 40 years forMadame Webto make her live-action movie debut. The character premiered in the pages of The AmazingSpider-Manback in 1980 and has cameoed in Spidey stories ever since.

Now she’s appearing in her own standalone movie, withDakota Johnsonplaying the title character, aka Cassie Webb.

But the film’s trailer was roundly mocked when it premiered last year. And now the film itself is receiving mostly negative reviews.

Madame Web has a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 17%, from 81 critic reviews at present. That puts it just above Morbius when it comes to Spidey-adjacent movies.
