However, the developer has not hit on one combo that has become all the rage with ADC players in the bottom lane. Thanks to the rise in lethality and critical strike item strength, Caitlyn has become a surprise benefactor of the burst meta.
With her empowered auto passive, and some items’ ability to create empowered attacks, the champion can now occasionally one-shot low-health enemies.
“Broken” Caitlyn League build
League of Legends streamer Allen Chenshowcased the build on social mediaand claimed he climbed to Grand Master with Caitlyn. The build has players starting with Stormrazor and then building Titanic Hydra, an item not usually seen on the ADC.
Yesterday I climbed to GM with Titanic Hydra CaitlynSR -> Titanic -> IE -> LDR -> More AD like BT or CollectorUse Titanic to double your passive headshot: cast headshot then press titanic hydra and attack before first auto landsNo RFCFull guide in commentspic.twitter.com/Fh4iORxWPA
The build continues with Infinity Edge, then Lord Dominik’s Regards, and ends with whatever other AD items players prefer. Apparently, the Titanic Hydra can be used to get two passive headshots, Caitlyn’s passive, in a row by using the item’s activeto melt enemies.
Crucially, the headshot auto needs to be in the process of hitting an enemy, or flying toward them, for players to activate Titanic Hyrda to get the second shot.
The build was alsoposted to Redditwith a player saying that Riot should take it out of the game as soon as possible.
“Possibly borderline abusive but Riot has not disabled Cait nor said don’t do it,” the post said.
Riot has been good about cleaning upbroken buildsandweird interactionsthat have come from the item changes and updates, so who knows how long this build will remain in the game.
