Klay Thompson lit up the Utah Jazz for 35 points off the bench Thursday night after scoffed at trade rumors prior to the deadline.
Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson could have made a scene after getting demoted to the bench on Thursday night for the first time since his rookie year.
Instead, he went into ‘Game 6 Klay’ mode a few months early, exploding for 35 points in epic fashion.
After his big game Thompson likened himself unto anNBAlegend while making trade rumors prior to the deadline look even more outrageous than they did at the time.

Thompson’s season-high comes on the heels of him boasting against naysayers who championed the Warriors trading him to strengthen their season outlook back on February 7,per The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.
“I see Steph Curry. I see Draymond. I go home and check our playoff record,” Thompson humble-bragged to reporters.

Additionally, Thompson revealed that he embraced coming off of the bench and compared the impact he did and can continue to have with the second unit to San Antonio Spurs legend Manu Ginobili in hispost game press conference.
It looks like Thompson can set his heart on getting settled on the reserve unit.Slater also shared on Xthat Warriors head coach Steve Kerr intends to keep his star shooting guard in the role for the immediate future.
