The chapter begins with Sojo lying on the floor and realizing that Chihiro has broken his sword. Even though Chihiro dominates the fight, Char and Shiba arrive to give him backup. The duo realizes that Sojo is still trying to escape. Shiba wants to kill Sojo but Chihiro stops him.

Chihiro loses an arm during the fight so Char tries to fix that but fails in her attempt. Chihiro tries to cheer her up. When Sojo sees the destruction in the laboratory, he tries to merge his energy with Datenseki and dies in the process.
On the other side, the Kamunabi higher-ups mourn the deaths of their team members in the meeting. Even though several members survived, they lost some major parts of their bodies. For instance, Ikuto lost his legs and Kazane lost every body part below his shoulder. However, despite the loss, the higher-ups only seem interested in choosing a new wielder of the Enchanted blade.
