Professor X actor James McAvoy has revealed he would consider reprising his role in the MCU if Disney meet this one particular condition.

TheMCUhas been struggling as of late to resonate with audiences and reach the box-office success of previous films such as Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: Civil War, and more.

However, with the likes of the Fantastic 4 and the X-Men now back in the hands of Disney and now integrated with the MCU, a new wave of heroes as well as the return of old, familiar faces could generate new interest in the franchise.

Before Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, the Marvel characters that had the most success when it came to live-action adaptations was the X-Men family.

As one of the oldest and most beloved Marvel teams, the X-Men franchise has spawned overeight movies including spin-off films.

In light of this, many X-Men actors who starred in the original movies and more recent reboot have been asked if they would be open to returning to their characters in the future.

WhileSir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart have expressed their interestin doing so, James McAvoy has admitted he has not been contacted at all about the return as Professor X.

The actor shared in an interview withEntertainment Tonight, “Anything I say will get me in trouble on that. I’ve had no contact with them.”
