Tonight’s Super Bowl means TV channels are juggling their schedules to avoid the sporting behemoth – so will True Detective be airing later?
It’s Super Bowl Sunday, meaning that loads ofgreat adverts and trailerswill be debuting, during a game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. Usher is also performing the half-time show. While camerasmightcatch a glimpse of Taylor Swift in the crowd.
The broadcast is one of the television events of the year, which makes it tricky to schedule anything against the game. Meaning some shows postpone episodes for a week.
ButTrue Detectivehas done something different, which means you can already watch tonight’s penultimate instalment….
Is True Detective airing tonight?
Yes, True Detective is airing tonight – same time, same channel. Episode 5 of Season 4 will receive its linear premiere on HBO at 9pm ET/ 6pm PT.
But that same episode is also already available to stream on Max, with the latest instalment dropping last Friday evening for those who want to be all caught up in advance of the sport.
As for the UK, Episode 5 will air – as usual – on Sky Atlantic at 9pm tomorrow (February 12). But if you can’t wait that long and want to watch the Max broadcast, it’s as simple as this:
