Madame Web is dropping in cinemas soon, but is the movie for kids? Here’s what you need to know about the Spider-Man spinoff’s age rating.

Sony’sSpider-ManUniverse is expanding with the release ofMadame Web, following on from the likes of Venom, Venom 2, andMorbius. But rather than spinning a web within the multiverse, the film is a standalone origin story of the titular character, portrayed by Dakota Johnson.

As per the synopsis, Cassandra Webb is “a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies – if they can all survive a deadly present.”

AlthoughMadame Web hasn’t had the best reception so far, perhaps the film might be one for the whole family to watch – but that all depends on its age rating, of course.

Others commented on its UK rating, including this person whosaid, “Fun fact: Madame Web is the first Sony Cinematic Universe film to be rated 12 in the Uk.

“Keep in mind Venom, Morbius, and Venom 2 all got a PG-13 in America but got rated 15 in the UK for some reason.”
