The JAK Thumper-656 conversion kit was added in MW3 and Warzone Season 4, introducing a powerful launcher that is incredibly strong in the right hands.
It was the fourth Aftermarket Part of Season 4, following on from theJAK Harbinger,JAK Requiem, andJAK Scimitar. When equipped, this conversion kit transforms the RGL-8, giving it an improved long barrel that can load a variety of unique ammunition.
This version of the RGL-80 can fire three ammo types: 40mm Slug, 40mm Sticky, and 40mm Drill Charge. These give the grenade launcher massively enhanced versatility, allowing it to function as a sort of utility secondary weapon.
It also happens to be the best Riot Shield counter in the game, which is a great reason to go and unlock it as soon as possible. Nobody likes playing against Riot Shields, but this gun makes dealing with them trivial.
How to get the JAK Thumper-656 conversion kit
The JAK Thumper-656 conversion kit can beunlocked through the Armoryby activating it and then earning eight Armory points. One point is earned every time you finish a daily challenge, win a multiplayer match, survive in Warzone, or complete 3 contracts in Zombies.
After you have unlocked the JAK Thumper-656, the Aftermarket Part can be equipped on the RGL-80 in the gunsmith’s Conversion Kit attachment slot. To do this, you’ll first need to reach weapon level 6 on the grenade launcher.
Previously, the JAK Thumper-656 was unlocked by completingweekly challenges. These were removed when Season 5 started, with the AMP now available from the Armory instead.
