Season 9ofOverwatch 2has brought with it a massiveCompetitive overhaul, with a big update to how rank placements and ranking up work, and a mass rank reset for all players.
What also came with the major overhaul was the arrival of Jade weapons as another skin obtainable with Competitive points. However, the addition also brings with it quite a change to the new points system.

How to unlock Jade weapons in Overwatch 2
To unlock Jade weapons in Overwatch 2, you will need acquire and spend 3,000 Competitive points.
These regular Competitive points should not be confused with Legacy Competitive points, which are only used to unlock Golden guns. You can read our comprehensive guide on Legacy Competitive pointshere.
To gain regular Competitive points, you will need to play Overwatch’s Competitive mode, as it’s the only way to acquire the currency. Competitive points will be given to players based on how many matches they’ve won or drawn and what rank they’ve placed in a given Competitive season.
Naturally, the higher your rank by the end of the Season, the more Competitive points you’ll earn. Here’s every rank in Overwatch 2 and the points each of them hands out.
For every Competitive match won, you’ll earn 10 additional points. For every Competitive match drawn, you’ll earn 5 additional points.
