Grotle spawns more frequently in the wild when it is weather-boosted during Sunny/Clear weather. This is also true of its pre-evolution – Turtwig – so it’s best to take advantage of this when possible.
As with every other starter Pokemon in Pokemon Go,Grotle can be Shinyand spawns in its Shiny form in the wild. However, most players will have an easier time finding a shiny Turtwig and evolving it as the pre-evolution spawns more frequently.
