Amaura will be featured in the upcomingPokemon GoAdventure Week, so here’s all you need to know to get this dual Rock/Ice-type dinosaur and whether or not it can be Shiny.

So, to help you catch the elusive Amaura and add the popular Pokemon to your collection, we’ve put together this guide explaining how to find it, if it can be shiny, and how to evolve it.

Currently, there are plenty of different ways to catch Amaura in Pokemon Go:

During this year’s event, Shiny Amaura will have increased spawn rates, as well as fellow fossils Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, and Tyrunt. Players can recognize it by its shiny white coloring.

As a two-member family, Amaura’s evolution is quite straightforward, as there’s only one step to get through it. However, there’s a tiny catch.

To evolve Amaura into Aurorus, you must feed it 50 Amaura Candy, however, for the evolution process to work it must be triggeredduring the night.

Even when its spawn rate is boosted by events, Amaura is fairly rare in Pokemon Go so make sure to use Pinap Berries before catching one to get double Candy. You can also set it as your Buddy to earn some additional Candy while walking or send your extra Amaura to Professor Willow.
