Like many video apps, TikTok has alive featurethat allows creators who fulfill certain criteria to livestream to their followers.
Viewers can comment on the stream to interact with the creator, and they can also donate usingvirtual gifts, with the Galaxy being just one of numerous options.
What is a Galaxy on TikTok?
The Galaxy is one of the many virtual gifts you are able to donate to someone, with each one costing a different amount of TikTok coins.
When a streamer receives the Galaxy, it displays a stunning illustration of the universe for both the content creator and the viewers.
The Galaxy gift on TikTok costs 1000 TikTok coins, which is roughly equivalent to $13 – $15, depending on what package you choose to purchase the coins.
TikTok gifts range in size, with one of the most expensive gifts,the universe, being worth about $562 dollars.
If you want to donate a gift to a creator (whether that’s the universe or a much smaller gift likethe rose) you’ll need to first purchase TikTok coins using real money.
To do this, go to your profile, click on the three lines, then go to ‘Settings and privacy.’ Then, press on the ‘Balance’ tab, and tap ‘Recharge’ next to your balance.
It’s important to note that not all of that money will go to the creator. When a creator receives a gift, it is converted into diamonds that can be exchanged for real money. TikTok takes a substantial 50% commission, socreators typically earn around $7-8 from a Galaxy giftthat costs the user about $15.
Creators can cash out after reaching a minimum of $100, with a weekly withdrawal limit of $1,000 and a maximum monthly withdrawal of $4,000.
