House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock has been confirmed to be DC’s new Supergirl by James Gunn himself.
DC has officially found its Supergirl, with James Gunn confirming thatHouse of the Dragonstar Milly Alcock will be taking on the role and will serve as the lead for the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Deadlinefirst reported the news of the casting, with Gunn resharing the article on Instagram and captioning his post, “This is accurate. Milly is a fantastically talented young actor.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy director then added, “I’m incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU. Yes, I first became aware of her in House of the Dragon but I was blown away by her varied auditions and screen tests for Supergirl. She embodies Kara as envisioned by @tomking_tk, @bilquis, and Ana Nogueira.”
