A Helldivers 2 Steam scam has tricked players

Posting on X, Wario64 revealed that a game by the name of Figurality had changed its name, publisher, and developer to those associated with Helldivers 2. The game in question was originally named Figurality but has since refashioned its Steam store page to look identical to that of Helldivers 2.

To make matters even worse, the fake Helldivers 2 game listed itself as having a 75% and 50% sale in the hopes of making some quick cash. Unfortunately, it looks like the scam has worked, andthe game’s store pagehas been littered with unhappy reviews, with players calling out the scam.

No, Helldivers 2 is not 75%/50% off on Steam. Someone else is using a different game and renaming it exactly like a Helldivers 2 listing as a scampic.twitter.com/NLy1uUoxd6

“This is a scam. The real Helldivers 2 was released in February. Do not give this person your money. I did it for the sake of this review and to spread awareness,” wrote one player. Others also called out the fake title, urging players not to buy it. “Not actually Helldivers 2. This is trash shovelware disguised as another game to scam people.”

While the game looks to have now been pulled from Steam, for many, the damage has already been done. If you’ve been impacted by the recent scam, then be sure to request a refund and contact Steam support.
